Will they realize their love for each other?

Movie Review : It’s not about love. It’s all about money for both the career-minded youngsters. When there are personal ambitions and aspirations, they will even step on a corpse to grab an opportunity. Both will also not allow an interference called love in their lives.

The young TV producer Sirish (Allu Sirish) has dreams of making it big, although it doesn’t matter that his family’s inherited property is worth Rs 100 cr. With his own hard work, he wants to earn his own Rs One crore. Creative director Suvarna (Regina Cassandra) won’t fall for any guy. He’s got to be rich, who is worth crores. What’s common to both of them is that they do not want to spend any money on each other, though they are colleagues. Soon, a TV programme they anchor titled “Kotha Janta”, wherein couples in love get married on the show, becomes a huge hit.

An investor calls up Sirish with an offer that he cannot refuse. He wants to start a TV channel and will hand it over to him and Suvarna because he is her ‘fan’. The way the investor (Posani Krishnamurali) speaks puts off Suvarna. With a motive in mind, Sirish showers gifts on Suvarna and also tells her that he loves her. Before Suvarna can reciprocate, it dawns on her that Sirish is playing the politics of love with her for rising in his career. What follows next is a series of incidents where both try to outdo each other professionally in the channel they are working for. There’s anger, there’s outrage, there’s misunderstanding, there’s revenge and while all this is played out, there’s some humour too. Keeping pace with the movie is the music that one enhances the impact of the scenes. Will Sirish and Suvarna become a pair? There are villains who want to play spoilsport because they have a valid reason.

Regina Cassandra’s lengthy role gives her enough scope to show her talent. But the director plays around with her character that sometimes is a bit confusing. Is she in love with Sirish or not? If she’s jumping with joy at times when she calls, she’s also indifferent when she meets him. Certainly, a suicide attempt by Suvarna was the last thing one would have imagined and it just doesn’t fit into her character.

Director Maruthi has a message to pass on to his viewers: help others. Don’t be driven by a selfish motive all the time. That makes it a meaningful movie.
