Supertar Rajinikanth’s follow up to Kochadaiiyaan will be ‘Lingaa’, to be directed by K.S.Ravikumar,it was revealed on Tuesday. Oscar winner A.R.Rahman will score the music, and the film will have two leading ladies – Anushka Shetty and Sonakshi Sinha.
Mr.Ravikumar himself posted a teaser poster on his verified Facebook page – www.facebook.com/iamksravikumar – byTuesday evening, following which the news went viral on social networks. There is speculation that the shooting for the project would start soon in Mysore though there is no official word yet on it.
Many of Rajinikanth’s fans, who were happy with the announcement, pointed out on social networks that Lingaa is also his grandson’s name (son of Dhanush and Aishwarya) and noted that it would prove lucky for the Superstar.
This would be the fourth time that Rajinikanth is collaborating with K.S.Ravikumar and A.R.Rahman on a project, after Muthu (1995), Padayappa (1999) and Kochadaiiyaan, for which Mr.Ravikumar had written the story and the screenplay. Ravikumar is a director with a reputation in the industry for delivering blockbuster hits.
